Hi I am Cassius. I was rescued from a high kill shelter where I was brought after I was found wandering the countryside. The shelter had high hopes to reunite me with my owner when they discovered I was microchipped. Alas, it turned out my owner had moved on to another state and had dumped me in a field. I am so glad NTCR saw my picture and made arrangements for me to come to Allen. I am a sweet, laid back kind of guy. I am very relaxed and mellow. Having lived on the outside for a while where I had to fend for myself didn't affect my good dispositions but I got FIV. I probably got infected when mating with an infected female . I am neutered now so no worries that I might infect a female through mating. As you all know FIV is not contagious through casual contact and/or grooming, so I can live a long healthy life safely with other felines in my new home. The nice folks at NTCR can explain to you what FIV is. My favorite place right now is on top of the cat tree facing the window to the backyard : I love to watch the birds coming to the feeders. I have already learned to use the scratchers so you won't have to teach me! I also have great litterbox habits.
