Stevie just turned a year in Sept. She was found as a tiny kitten (~4 weeks old) alone and dying by a farmer in his field. He brought her to my vet who made sure she survived. My vet handed her off to me (~6 weeks old) for fostering through NTCR. Stevie was born without eyes, and she recently underwent surgery to remove the tear ducts and close her eyelids. She has a cleft nose and lip, but they do not require surgery or affect her ability to eat or breathe. Her heartbeat is irregular, but the EKG and ultrasound showed no cardiac issues. Her front legs bow out due to irregular bone formation. She has to keep her weight down to not cause issues/pain in her joints…not easy to do because she loves food. Even with all these ailments, none really affect her quality of life. She’s one of the happiest kitties you’ll meet. Stevie is a “velcro kitty” meaning she's exceptionally sweet and only wants to be held and cuddled. She’s a big-time bed buddy and snuggler. She likes to sleep across my neck or in my face. She LOVES being brushed and having her head and neck scratched. She'll flop over on her side when I scratch her neck. She puts her face up to be kissed. Stevie LOVES her crinkly cat tunnel. This is a recent discovery and she's fascinated by it. A quiet home is best for Stevie - loud noises scare her and she hides. She loves other cats and would be happy in a home with a kitty friend or if you work out of your home, Stevie would be in heaven to be your all-day companion and BFF. Her adoption fee is $140.
