Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission!

Sazerac here…I’m a really good-looking fellow who hails from a small town. I wasn’t looking for trouble, but it found me, and I wound up in jail. It wasn’t a happy place, but the people there were pretty nice. They asked NTCR if anyone could possibly save me. Apparently, they were out of space and I was on “the list.” I don’t know what that is, but it didn’t sound good. Anyway, the person who stepped up for me is letting me stay at her place until I find my forever home. I’m a super affectionate but would prefer to be an only cat. And really, with me, I’m all you need. I’m big, fluffy, and crazy sweet! I’m ready to find my forever home so if you’re interested, fill out an application and my foster mom will get back to you ASAP. Oh, she said if you’re wondering about my name, Sazerac is one of America’s earliest cocktails, invented in the 1830s by Antoine Peychaud, a French Quarter pharmacist. Foster mom is from New Orleans...so, there you have the origin of my name and a bit of trivia to impress your friends!
