Hello, my name is Derrick.  I am a beautiful, floofy, cuddly, playful boy.  I have the most beautiful soft black fur which compliments my big round eyes.  I love to be scratched under my cheeks and then for you to move down to my tail to scratch the top of my butt, that always feels good.  I try to keep my fur looking gorgeous but I will need your help just a little bit, I like it when you brush me.  Before arriving at my foster home, people had not shown me kindness, love or security.  My foster family has worked really hard with me to show me all that I have been missing.  Occasionally a little hiss escapes my mouth, but I do not mean it and I try to say I am very sorry.  My favorite time is night time or when you are relaxed and ready to give me lots of love.  I get so excited that I make these little squeaks, it always makes people smile ;-) Along with cuddles, scratches and brushes I also like to play.  I play tag and chase with some of the other foster cats.  Toys are a lot of fun, my favorites are springs and crinkly balls.  I would need a friend in my forever home to keep me company while you are busy.  Are you ready to add the floofy me to your family?
