Gunner's life nearly ended on a warm Saturday afternoon in early October. Gunner may have inadvertently hitched a ride underneath a car before falling out. A very nice lady spotted him on the side of a road as she drove by. Knowing what his fate would be, she turned around to help. Thankfully, she was able to rescue Gunner without further injury. Gunner's life was saved that day. His new guardian angel took him straight to a vet where his injuries were treated. Gunner needed stitches to close a cut on his face and suffered minor burns on his head and ears. The vet believes Gunner may have been hit by a fan blade before falling from the car. He spent the next few days recovering at the vet clinic. I am happy to report Gunner has made a full recovery and is a happy, playful kitten who loves to purr. He can be a little unsure at first, but warms up quickly. He loves to have his belly rubbed while running his purr motor. Gunner has taken to the teenage human boy in his foster home. He sleeps with the human boy every night and enjoys lots of belly rubs. With his car hitching days behind him, Gunner is ready to find his forever family.
