Max recently came to NTCR after his owner of 6 years became seriously ill. They shared a tight bond and this was a very difficult decision. Max spent the first several days in his foster home grieving. His foster family continued to reassure Max with lots of love and patience. With time, Max realized he was safe and still very much loved. He is naturally a cautious and slightly timid cat. His new family will need to understand this and allow Max plenty of time to adjust as his foster family did. Max now greets his foster family with purring and happily receives all the love and attention he can get.
