Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission!

Baby Girl’s world was upended when her dad died unexpectedly. She and several of his other cats came to NTCR. Baby Girl was slow to come out of her shell after losing her dad and her home…the only home she’s ever known. She’s very affectionate and has become a lap cat with her foster mom, but she will take time to settle into a new environment. She’s moderately playful, but she may become more playful given a bit more time. We would recommend she either has a cat friend in her forever home or someone who works from home as she needs reassurance given her recent life changes. She’s tiny – basically she’s the size of a six-month-old kitten and is fully grown. She gets along with other cats and for her small stature was apparently the alpha kitty in her home...or at least "babied" enough to think that she was the alpha. She was raised with a small dog. Given her shyness, no kids under 7.
