Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission!

Maria is one of the five kittens in the West Side Story litter.  These guys were found under a shed and lived outside for the first 8 weeks of their lives.  They were scared and shy when they came to rescue.  However, they quickly realized that living inside in the best!  Warm beds, regular food and water, toys, and cuddles are pretty great for kittens.  Marie is very much like her namesake as she is very sweet.  She enjoys cuddles and has recently decided that playing with toys is really great.  She is a stunning tortie girl with a cute little orange spot on her forehead.  It takes Marie a few minutes to get used to new people, but once you play with her and give her some soft food she is your friend!  Marie is very healthy and ready to find her forever home.  Maria would do best with her sister Anita or another kitten/younger cat as she loves to play with her siblings.  Remember, two kittens are less work than one since they play with each other, and keep each other company!  Come meet Maria!
