Mina came to NTCR at 6 weeks old from a rural shelter. One eye had erupted and the other was ready to erupt. Both eyes ravaged by a viral infection. She needed an emergency double enucleation to save her life. We were all too aware of the danger of putting such a young kitten under anesthesia, but we had to make that hard choice. Dr Coffman and Staff did a great job keeping her alive during the surgery. Mina didn't take long to heal and learn to manage her environment despite being completely blind. Her foster Mom is still in total awe on how well and super affectionate Mina is.
