Hi there!  I'm Brownie and I'm a floofy tortie who loves people! My foster parents were feeding me outside and one day I thought that inside would be better, and I was right! I really like it best when I'm with my humans and would love to spend all of my time with them, but I'm not a fan of the other kitties that they take care of. What I really want is a happy home where I am the only cat so I can get all of the attention. My fosters said that  being FIV+ doesn't slow me down at all! I haven't met children so I don't know how I would react to them, but I love to just snuggle up with my humans and get lots of pets!   If you’re not familiar with FIV, it stands for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). It is a virus that is not transmittable to other species and only spread from cat-to-cat via blood - so deep bite wounds. It does not negatively affect a cat's life or lifespan nor does it impact their quality of life. FIV+ cats may have above average dental disease, i.e. need dentals sooner or more often, but that is not always the case with every FIV+ cat. It's really important that when FIV+ cats are taken for yearly check-ups at the vet, their teeth are also checked.
