We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.
 
For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Desi was born in a neighborhood in South Texas where a lot of strays end up. He was among many kitties taken in and cared for by neighbors. He is very calm and friendly after he warms up. He gets along with other cats as long as they are not bullies. He has not been around dogs but would probably do fine if they are chill.  He would probably do best with older kids. He likes to sleep with you but doesn't love to be held and carried. This may change as he settles in to his home but he has never had a secure place to land so he has never had an opportunity to show his true personality.
