Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission!

My brother Jim and I were named after the characters in To Kill a Mockingbird, and I am very much like my namesake from that book.  I am mischievous, curious and brave.  I love my brother and my foster mommy.  I love to play with Jim and our friend Marta and we enjoy exploring and discovering new places to play, new things to play with and cuddling with someone warm and loving when we are tired from all our adventures.

I don't know what to think of dogs, some are okay some are not.  I need to be with my brother Jim or our friend Marta (or both!) for companionship and playtime, but a friendly kitten or playful cat will probably do with the right introduction.

I'm beautiful now and will be a gorgeous adult and senior cat. I can't be a kitten forever, so I need someone who will love me for my lifetime, even when I'm old and gray.  I'll never judge you if you slow down, or aren't as fun or playful as you used to be.  I'll love you forever the way you are and it's only fair for me to expect the same from my new person. If you are willing to commit to a lifetime - 20+ years- then please speak to my protective foster mommy.

xoxo Love Scout
