Lightening came to us from a local shelter. He had severe burns down his face, head and body. We believe his burns are chemical burns, and we are not sure if they were intentionally done or not. If they were, Lightening doesn't hold it against anyone. He's incredibly affectionate and loves people, other cats, and dogs. He definitely needs a kitty companion in his forever home.  His burns have healed and scarred over. His fur has grown back, but it's coming in with a little white so he looks like he has a bit of a lightening bolt down the side of his body. Lightening needed knee surgery too, to repair a luxating patella. He's been through a lot, but he's all healed up and ready for his forever home! He has excellent scratching post and litter box manners. If you're interested in meeting or adopting Lightening, contact NTCR and they'll put you in touch with his foster!
