Marshmallow is best described as an "old soul." She is a beautiful, sweet, calm and gentle girl. She will play with toys, but mostly wants a person of her very own to love. She is very shy initially and doesn't "show well" at adoption events, but once she settles in, is a wonderful and loving companion. Marshmallow was adopted as a kitten and returned to NTCR through no fault of her own. She has since been adopted and returned twice. The homes were too active and didn't give her a proper space to adjust in, respectively. Marshmallow is really wonderful! She just needs a home that understands it will take time for her to adjust, as well as properly transitioning her to a new environment. It isn't difficult, but again, it just takes time. Marshmallow loves being petted and gives gentle head butts to show her appreciation. She does well with other cats, but would likely be okay as an only cat provided she has lots of time with her person. Marshmallow needs a quiet home, without dogs or very young kids. She'd love a home where she can sit in someone's lap most of the day or at least cuddle at night. She's very, very good with her scratching post and has perfect litter box manners.
