Meet Winnie! She's a very sweet and affectionate girl! She came to NTCR with a badly broken jaw - we did include some photos of her when she came to us with the injury - they are graphic. We don't know how her injury happened, but she suffered with it for some time because it had healed. To correct the injury, she had to have two separate surgeries. Initially, part of her lower jaw had to be removed, as well as many teeth, which is why her tongue often sticks out. Her second surgery was to help shape her bottom lip a bit more. When she's being super affectionate, usually at bed time/cuddling time, and biscuit making (kneading) ensues, she will drool a bit. Otherwise, she doesn't drool. She eats just fine and does not require a special diet. She eats her dry kibble very well, but does enjoy her canned food treat, which she gets nightly. Winnie would be ok in a home with one other cat, but she prefers to have her humans to herself. She seems to be just fine with small dogs (see photos), but we don't know about large dogs as she has not been around them. She's estimated to be between 1.5-2 years old, fully vetted, and ready for her forever home. If you're interested in adopting or meeting Winnie, please contact NTCR.
