My name is Benson, and I’m looking for a very special person to love.  I required some extra medical care when I was little.  I got very sick with a respiratory infection, I couldn’t breathe, and then I stopped eating.  The doctor gave me medicine, but no one thought I was going to make it. Foster mom tried everything, squirting broth in my mouth around the clock. It worked!!  I got stronger and became the happiest, silliest, playful sweet little boy. I was ready for adoption day... Then my nose got runny again. I wasn’t really sick, but I had to stay at home until I saw the vet. (She says I am OK.) The other kittens my age got adopted without me, and I was a little sad.  

But now it is my turn to find I that special person who will play with me and laugh at me, feed me treats, and shoo me off of places when I get into mischief, who will love my silly face and that I’m not afraid of the dogs (or anything really). That special person who doesn’t mind sometimes cleaning my face with a warm wet cloth, because although my nose still gets icky, you can tell I am bursting with energy and health. I would love to cuddle up in your arms like a velvety teddy bear and show you that I love you.  So if you think you might be that special person, please ask about me at northtexascatrescue.com, or if you know that special person, share my story with them!
